Stu's Green Breakfast Smoothie

We have a Vita Mix blender which is essential for this sort of smoothie. Make sure you add lots of fruit to give it some sweetness. This recipe makes a lot so half it if you are the only one drinking it. It keeps about a week in our fridge. You can alter the ingredients to suit your own tastes.

Morning Drink

This is a blender recipe. I use this in substitute of breakfast or lunch. I also use this to try achieve my goal of 9 fruits/veggies a day. :) It always differs but a few items always remain the same. I use a vita mix blender and it never ceases to amaze me. Well worth the investment.

Green Mango Smoothie (Raw Vegan)

(LFRV) This is a quick delicious way to get some greens in and ensure all the iron is absorbed properly thanks to the Vit C in the mangoes. The spinach amount is a starting point and you can always increase it if your tastebuds will allow. You can also switch the water out for coconut water if that's something you do. ENJOY!

Strawberry-Basil Lemonade

Fresh strawberries and basil turn the drink kids love to make and sell into a sophisticated booze-free refreshment. Add plenty of ice or use an ice ring to keep it cold. Bottled lemon juice works fine, but if you can find fresh squeezed, or have the gumption to squeeze it yourself, it'll be that much tastier; you'll need about 10-20 lemons, depending on how juicy they are. From Chowhound's Nonalcoholic Summer Sippers.

From Culinary Concoctions by Peabody. Very decadent and fattening dessert drink. You can use store bought or homemade cheesecake. The recipe author made a crustless cheesecake to use in this.

Coffee Concentrate

This is great for making cold coffee drinks in the summer using a French Press. Only problem is it is so easy and delicious you might end up drinking too much coffee.

Peachy Cantaloupe Smoothie

I went to our local flea market and bought a huge cantalope for $1 and a big bag of fresh, ripe peaches for $3, so what to do? I went home and made up this delicious smoothie! I hope you enjoy as much as I did! The amounts are approximate, so feel free to be creative. I sprinkled the peaches with the sugar and let sit for awhile in the fridge before blending. This makes 2 very large smoothies.
