Crock Pot Potatoes Boulangere

Before ovens were part of every home in France people would drop their Sunday roast off at the local baker, surrounded by sliced onions and potatoes, on the way to church. On their way home they would pick up the cooked meal ready to enjoy! This is a slow cooker version. I'm sure you'll love this. If you love potatoes and onions how could you not? Recipe found in The 150 Best Slow Cooker Recipes. You can partially prepare this dish the night before. Complete the first 4 steps and refrigerate overnight. The next day you simply continue cooking as directed in step 5. This dish is even better if you use a really good homemade stock but commercial stock works well, too.

Southwestern Black Bean & Chickpea Salad - Ww Simply Filling

Adapted from skinnytaste.com. RE: WW Simply Filling (Core), there's some debate over whether you have to count the EVOO if it's just a couple tsp/serving. I don't and have had outstanding results. So for me, this is a Simply Filling Recipe. If you count the EVOO, it's 1 pt. (For Flex: 5 WW Pts/serving)

Ramps and Potatoes

Ramps are wild leeks, in the onion and garlic family, and rather unique. If you live in the Appalachian or Allegheny Mountains, they may be growing wild in your yard! Ramps appear in early Spring, and may be mixed into hushpuppies or corn bread. This old recipe pairs ramps with potatoes.

Tomato Mac and Cheese

A great variation on an American Favorite! It caught my eye immediately when I saw it in the April/May 2010 edition of Cook's Country Magazine. I have taken it to a couple of potlucks and it always gets great reviews. Yum..... : )

Heavenly Country-Style Home Fries

These country-style home fries are a wonderful accompaniment to any breakfast, brunch or (in my family's case) breakfast for dinner. They turn out buttery and savory with a crispy brown outer coating. I like to serve these home fries when I make breakfast for dinner for my family. We enjoy them with a juicy, smokey ham steak cooked in my cast iron skillet with a side of baby peas. Yum!

Mustard-Roasted Potatoes (Bon Appetit)

These delicious potatoes have a crispy garlic outside and a sweet and creamy interior. From Molly Stevens in Bon Appetit Magazine (Dec. 2007). You can try different herbs and spices; rosemary and thyme work well, and if you like spice, add a little cayenne pepper. Eat the leftovers with some eggs for breakfast. Yum! DO AHEAD: Can be made 2 hours ahead. Let stand on baking sheets at room temperature. Rewarm potatoes in 425 F oven for 10 minutes.

Perfect Pierogies

I love this recipe because the filling is so flavorful. These are time consuming, but are worth it. From the cookbook It's All American Food . Just make sure to always keep to cut out dough circles and prepared pierogies (before cooking) seperate or they will stick together and you will have a big mess.
